Il metodo Four Cables (4 CAVI) è un sistema che permette di far funzionare insieme la sezione preamp del nostro amplificatore e la catena effetti del multieffetto: la maggior parte dei multieffetto suona male perchè è collegata male.
Se si usa il preamp ed il simulatore di cassa interni dell’effetto non si può poi collegare l’uscita dello stesso direttamente all’amplificatore… in questo modo si invia il segnale proveniente da un preamp (del multieffetto) in un altro preamp (quello dell'ampli) ed ovviamente il risultato non è dei migliori perchè "forzato" e si hanno 2 sezioni preamp in sovrapposizione.
Ecco quindi a cosa serve il metodo four cables: si usa il preamp del vostro amplificatore, si usano gli effetti del multieffetto e poi si usa la cassa del vostro ampli.
